Senior Quote - "Fade to black..." in reference to the song by the same name written by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.  Lyrics are below.

Life it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things are not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this cant be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now hes gone

No one but me can save myself, but its too late
Now I cant think, think why I should even try

The following is from
To Live Is To Die
It was what I used to wright in people's yearbooks in high school

When a man lies he murders
Some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which
Men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear
To witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home
- James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich

O, my luve's like a red, red rose
That's newly sprung in June:

O, my luve's like the melodie
That's sweetly play'd in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonie lass
So deep in luve am I:
And I will luve thee still, my Dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.

- Thomas Wolfe

Scott and Mom having fun and being happy, 2006

"...this is how I think of Scott, just hanging out someplace having a good time.  That is who he really is at heart."  Ray York talking about his son Scott circa 1988 while looking at a picture of Scott on the Small World ride at Disneyland that he had taken.

The picture at the right reminded me of this conversation and I was thinking that it was probably the most accurate assesment that my father has ever made of me.

Only after we have lost everything are we free to do anything.  - Chuck Palahniuk

After getting divorced, I finally get this.  Until you experience true loss and feel like you don't care about anything can you let that which does not matter truly slide.  But I still don't want to be Tyler Durden.
